Mould Making and Slip Casting Workshop.

Join me in my Marrickville studio across two events to learn the process of plaster mould making and slip casting with porcelain.

The first day is where you will be introduced to the process of creating a plaster mould. During this class, you will be creating two simple one-piece moulds ideal for beginners.

Two weeks later your moulds will be dry and ready for pouring and you will be using porcelain to cast into your moulds. This class will introduce you to the casting process and teach you tips and tricks to cast successfully.

Every item you create during the class will then be fired and glazed as requested and ready to pick up in the following weeks. You will also get to keep the two moulds you have made, perfect to continue your slip casting journey at home.

Each workshop will take around two and a half hours and will include a cheeseboard and a glass of sparkling, in the evening or a cake and juice during the day making it ideal to book with a friend or a great chance to get to know other like-minded creatives.

It is recommended that you first complete my Porcelain Hand-building Workshop to give you a basic understanding and confidence when working with clay.

Please only book if you can attend both workshop dates as the second date is the same time as the first just two weeks later.

Attendees will get:

You get to take home everything you make including your two plaster moulds, perfect to continue your ceramics journey at home.
